1970 F250 4X4 Rebuild

The wife was an amazing trooper today, it must have been 90 and we were at it for 5 hrs. We pulled the master cylinder and booster, the mirrors. We got the truck pusyed into the garage and went at it. She helped do everything including running the engine crane while I guided. It was great to get someting done and spend time together.

Treat that lady right amigo, and bring her coffee in bed, and flowers for her steadfast and admirable devotion to your project. Those of us lucky enough to have a partner in life, with that kind of fortitude, are living beyond expectation. Remember, life does not owe us our expectations, be grateful.

We made an "H" frame out of two 2x4s and a 4x4 to fit under the rails inside the bed. Pictures are in the wrong order as we took the bed off and put them on the saw horses. The cab on this truck is in pretty bad shape, the floors are gone the cab mounts shot but the cab corners are almost perfect. Really strange how that happens.

Plan on trying to remove the cab this weekend. I will be cutting it up and scrapping most of it. Plan to cut off both cab corners (they are not perfect but pretty good). Remove the doors, the wiper system the Heater and all ducts. I will also remove all the wiring mostly for the connectors. Once that's done I can start cutting up the frame. I plan on selling the front suspension since it's a disc brake with power steering.

No trim on this one, but I may have a set. Let me look and get back to you.
I was looking online tonight at after market wiring harnesses, Painless is a pain in the wallet, the Kwik Wire one looks pretty good. Hoping to go up to the Hershey show in a couple of weeks and see if there are any deals to be had.

Thanks 390, and I just rewired my truck, but at this moment, the company name escapes me... old memory, you know... It was made especially for old Ford trucks, and had the name of the wire (like where it was going, ie L. headlight), on each wire, ever 6".. and was a 21 circuit, with fuse block, and all connections... Way nice. It took a day & a half to run it all, came out very clean, and everything works just fine.. It had some catchy name, like "Quick wire" or something like that... I will also get back to you.. as soon as my memory works...
