Thanks, and now my brother just told me that he bought a 72 crew cab short bed. Very strange truck, has the 300 six with a C6 tranny. Drum brakes and manual steering. Still has the DOD Plate on the dash from its military service. Truck is in pretty good shape, has some rust in the drip rail and only minor rust in the floor. Supposed to get some pics this weekend will post.

Didn't get any work done on the truck today, but did get my weekend work done so maybe I can work on the truck tomorrow and Sunday.

I too am on travel to work, at the moment, and putting in 72's a week. Seems that its something common, to lots of Bump owners. Are we different, or what? I also have had my '67, since I got back from Vietnam, in '69. As hillcountry says, don't give up.

Love your motor ****, just like Troz..

Bagged engine, now onto the frame work.

Have to get the frame stripped and blasted, want to have it painted the summer.

I have never seen anything like this. The doors are in great shape, the floors are repairable, the fenders are keepers. I have a parts truck that we will cut the roof off of for this area.

What is the top of the weld cart made of? Is that stone?.. Thought about mounting a vice?

Its just a piece of MDF Board painted white. I may install a smaller vice. I am thinking about getting a 10 or 12 Ga sheet metal to cover the top with, that way I can weld right there on small stuff.

Thanks Gembone. I thought that was a pretty standard term here at FTE. Yes the stuff is cheap, but if you look there are still some good deals on good tools. I bought a High Lift Off Road Jack, thing works as good as the more expensive name brand ones. I also bought one of their Gantry Cranes and Chain Falls, so far very happy with it. Will be put to much more use next month when we pull the cab off the frame.

All very true Gembone, very true. I forget that HF is there, as we do not have any in Baja, or all of Mexico for that matter. At least, not that I have seen. I too, have some of their stuff, even some that has yet to be used. Bought it last trip North, for "Just in case" reasons.

Finally back at it again. The Wife and I headed out to Bloomington, Mn to see our Son Graduate. It was a very proud moment, plus we had a chance to spend a week with him. Now we are back in the Rat Race and I am spending time dismantling the parts truck. Have to finish pulling the front end so I can pull the Motor and trans for storage. Then the Bed comes off.
