New Hub Caps (Picture) and a link to a hub cap thread for outie wheels

I wanted to share a pic of my truck with a set of new-to-me hub caps. I've been using 10 1/8" baby moons for the last 5-6 years but they never quite fit right. It's nice to have some that fit.

Also, there have been tons of threads on hub caps for "Outie" style wheels in this section of the forum, which have led me to the stainless caps on the truck now. There was recently a thread on hub caps for '66 and later steel wheels (5x51/2 "Outie") in the 48-56 forum that gave me some ideas I hadn't heard about before, so here's the link.

Nice find.

There are lots of options if you look around. I found these 67 Fairlane caps in pretty nice condition for my 66. I have since taken them off the 66 and put 80s F150 caps on the 66 since Im selling the 66 and don't want to lose the caps.

Im planning on using them on my 64 unless I go with Ultra 50/51 machined aluminum wheels or 16x6 smoothies with the correct innie hubcap.

My three stages. As bought some later hub caps. Within a year the white outies. Last several years the chrome outies.

There are two different versions (diameters) of these hubcaps. If for a Fairlane, they would not fit your truck, since they're 9 1/2" diameter.

C5AZ-1130-A .. Hubcap-10 1/2" diameter - Use with 15" wheels ~ 1965/67 Galaxie/ LTD.

C6DZ-1130-A .. Hubcap-9 1/2" diameter - Use with 14" wheels ~ 1966/67 Falcon/Fairlane & 1967 Mustang.

These caps came in a box that was placed inside the trunk at final assembly. Many were THROWN AWAY, because many people wanted wheel covers, especially the wire type.

Schuyles, the ones you have on there now are my favorite of all the options. I got the same set off of Ebay last autumn. Just had to touch up some of the black as they are in great condition. My 66 is Rangoon Red and I painted the wheels Wimbledon White, and it really pops out with those caps.

Ive got a set of 15in wire wheel covers that are in pretty nice condition that came with the truck.

Would those have been an option on a 64 F100 CC?
