But all in all this 6.2 is a beast it has *****! MPGs aren't to bad coming from the fuel loving 6.4 and yes going down hill in T/H is a scary ordeal LOL.
What gears do you have and approximately how heavy is your fiver?

Cool. I just put a deposit on a new fifth wheel today. 9300 lbs dry. Anxious to see how well the truck does with my new rig.

Rubiconrod- I'm pulling a Grand Design Reflection 303 with a semi-loaded wt of 10,600lb, having a pin wt of 2200 lbs on my '12, F250 4x4 CC 6.2L 3.73 RE, with no problems through the Ozark Mtns of Missouri. Coming from a Bowtie Dmax it took me a couple tows to cool my jets and realize I'll get to the fishing hole before sundown and there was no prize waiting at the campground if I was first anyway. In short - the truck will do fine for ya. Mine just needed me to be adjusted.

Thanks for the post. I just bought the same trailer last weekend and pick it up on the 22nd. Was hoping I wouldn't need to get a diesel...

Axle Ratio Prices

From Ford dealership... Changing the axle ratio from 3.73 to 4.30 ... the rears $1017.21 fronts $395.15 tax $134.18 labor 950.00 total is $2496.54.

A lot of money.

Wow. Local off-road place I've used before charges 1k per axle for parts & labor. I have a 2WD drive so pretty cheap for the additional towing "power".

If your 3.73 gears are getting the job done you may want to save the cost to change them but remember the next time you buy a truck get the 4.30 gears.
