I need some numbers!!

Hi guys, I currently have a 1990 Ford Bronco. I want to swap in a 1992-1996 Lightning engine into my truck. I just need to know what the horsepower and torque numbers are for these engines. I really appreciate yuor help.

93-95 Lightnings have 240hp/340tq.

99 - 00 Lightnings have 360 hp and 01 - 03 have 380 hp with 425 ft/lbs. of torque. Realistically, I think you only get about 350 hp at the rear wheels though......

OOOOOOPS!!!

Sorry to all for my bad, bad fingers. The numbers for the 01- 03 are 380 hp and 450 ft/lbs. torque.

Duh. See what happens when you eat too much Cocoa Puffs and play with the internet at 1 am ???

That is dang good power in a P/U from the factory. I would guess there is a host of aftermarket parts available as well .

What type fuel milaege could one expect driving easy ?

If I stay at 55 on my inner city expressways, I can get a consistent 16 mpg which equates to about 360 miles per tank. If I take it to 70'ish, I only get 12 - 13 mpg which leaves me at about 290 to 300 miles per tank. Just so you know, I have owned three Lightnings since 2001 and those numbers were good for all three trucks.

Most of my driving is in the 65-70 range and I am seeing 13-14 consistently as well...
