I got new reg. It has 1 green...2 yellow (one with some connector)... 2 white....1 red.
Anyone know what tracers they would go to? I now have six new wires yet only four old ones.

Are the terminals on the regulator marked I - A - S - F ?

Are the two yellow wires both attached to the same terminal of the connector? How about the two white wires, are both white wires together in the connector?

If yes, I would think that you could connect the wires from your old connector to your new connector in the same order they were in. That is I - A - S - F , and then just terminate the unused yellow wire and unused white wire with female "bullet" connectors.

Someone else can chime in, because I have worked on Ford car and F-Series electrical systems, but never a P-Series.

 

I am confused. Is it a new one that came with a new aftermarket pigtail? Or a used one with it's pigtail. If it's a new one maybe the aftermarket pigtail was just loaded with extra wires just-in-case.

 

Thanks for that. Ill have to look when I get in. What does IASF mean? that would help as if its ignition...alt...etc. I have a diagram to find them.
