2010 F150 Lariat wet passenger floorboard
If anyone else has this issue, I've got a 2010 F150 Lariat driving down south in the summer of Alabama, approximately 36,300 miles on the truck. This past weekend I noticed that the passenger side floorboard was soaked. After some research I figured either the drain pipe was stopped up or the weld had let loose. I took it to the local dealership who after 2 days of diagnosing have come up with the "poor design" of the drain has led to water leaking out and soaking the floorboard. Their solution is a TSB which calls for a kit about $25 and labor of about $250 and change. Anyone else run into this and/or have any luck in contacting for and having them cover the cost of repairing this issue?
Thanks

Crystal, Since I'm a new member, I don't have the PM privileges yet. Can you be reached via phone or email/facebook?
Any FYI for those that have the problem, the dealership found that the AC drain tube and elbow were faulty and were replaced and a hose was moved.

I am having the same problem underneath the glovecompartment there's a black blower box that runs into the firewall. Where the firewall and blower box meets gets wet everytime it rains and has my passenger side carpet wet. Any suggestions would really be appreciated. But its definitely coming from where the blower box and firewall meets under my glove compartment. Any fixes please advise..thx

Welcome to the forum, mstelly! I'm not a technician, so I'm not the best resource for mechanical/repair information. I'd recommend making an appointment at your dealership; I know they'd want to do all they can to assist. How many miles are on your truck currently?

Hi mstelly,
You may want to consider going to a different Ford Dealership for a second opinion; some folks have had success going that route. If you need help finding an alternate dealership near you, just enter your ZIP code here: Ford Dealers | Locate a Ford Dealer Near You | Ford.com

After doing a little digging I think I have narrowed it down to the front passenger. Noticed the heat shield insulation on the underneath the truck is wet and looks like the water totally destroyed it. The insulation shielding the heat from cab on passenger side bottom. I've siliconed the 3 grommet plugs ( two in front passenger next to fuse box and one towards back. I also sealed the third brak light, since ford sealed the firewall underneath the passenger fender, I hope that the replacement if windshield does the trick. Any other suggestions? Wish I could post my pics.
