Body Bushings

Thanks.
Just so I'm clear, you are measuring the distance from the top of the crossmember to the bottom of the cab (the height of the bushing).
That new rubber bushing/cushion I have for the rear looks to be at least 4" tall. That's going to take a lot of compression to get it to 2-3/8"
I don't see any need to make adjustments to either truck. They both align properly to my eyes.
But, if your going to adjust, do you think tightening the rear cab mounting bolt more will bring it down 1/16" - if not, I guess you would then have to shim the bed up a 1/16".

Please take a look at the Gary's Notes tab here and let me know if it answers your question about measurements: Body Mounts - ???Gary's Garagemahal. (I was working on that when you asked the question.)
If your bushing is 4" tall I can't imagine squishing it down to 2 3/8". Perhaps it is the wrong one?
As for adjusting Dad's body lines, I'll leave that to my paint/body man. He said he'll come to my shop and align it when the time comes.

Yes the notes on your diagram do help - I'm sure others will find it useful too.
The rear cushion I have is the same one shown in the photos for "Rear Cab Mounts" on your website.
I'll measure it when I get home (in case you want to add that dimension to the photo) - or just so we know we are talking about the same item.

The new rubber cushion (rear mount) is 3" tall (uncompressed), and the old rear cushion is 2.5" (uncompressed).
So it is reasonable to assume the old bushing with the weight of the cab and the bolt torqued would compress more to (2-3/8") which matches your measurements.
The new rubber would need to compress about 5/8" (to 2-3/8) which is "probably achievable", once the weight of cab is on it and the bolt torqued, since the new rubber is softer (or appears to be).

Not NOS (as far as I can tell)- but it is the same construction.
I got it from the JBG (the expensive set). This one http://shop.broncograveyard.com/1980...uctinfo/33101/ But the OEM bushing has a Ford engineering number molded on it. This one doesn't. The bag it came in says "made in Taiwan" and it has the same p/n as the LMC ones. I think it is the LMC part but I paid double the cost for it buying from JBG.
Still, it looks like a good quality part.

I've been talking to Gary in PMs, and doing my own research about these, and I thought I'd share what I've found.
Gary is not using the factory metal upper retainer on his truck, and I decided that I wanted to use it on mine. I got one from a junkyard for free, and sandblasted and painted it. So, here is what that looks like (mid sandblast):
Attachment 192405
I am also using Energy Suspension Polyurethane mounts, so they look a little different than the factory ones, and the Prothane mounts that Gary has.
I needed a few washers to get to the correct 1.34 inches between the frame mount and core support. Here's the entire thing together:
Attachment 192406
And here is everything all laid out:
Attachment 192407
From top to bottom I have:
a) An M12 x 1.75 nut
b) Lock washer (because the hardware store didn't have a lock nut)
c) Fender washer
d) The factory square spacer
e) Two factory shims
f) Two more fender washers
g) An M14 washer
h) The factory upper retainer (now painted black)
i) Upper polyurethane mount
j) Bronco Graveyard "Frame Saver" which I will use to repair my rusty core support frame mount
k) Lower Polyurethane mount
l) M12 (?) washer that came with the Poly mounts
m) A M12 x 1.75 x 100 mm bolt
Items e-i are required to have the correct 1.34 in. spacing. The core support goes between d and e, and the frame mount is j.
Now all I have left is to clean and paint everything, and install it!

The brackets (Core Support) are available at Jeff's Bronco Graveyard (and probably LMC).
1980-1997 Ford Bronco and F-Series Truck Radiator Core Support Mount Bracket-Broncograveyard.com
It's identified as "not OEM" but it is plenty heavy-duty and works fine. For $30.
