I love that pic of the snow next to/behind the Excursion. That sure is a ton of snow. Hehehe.

It's been great, at work we sold out of almost all our snow plows, having to order more in as people have still been coming in! On a "normal" year we typically get 1-2 big stroms in March/April so we'll see if that happens. March 17th 2002 we got over 36" in 24 hours that was a fun week let me tell ya.

So friends on Facebook have been posting 2016/2017 comparison photos. I decided to go back through some of mine and re-create the photos (or close).

Feb 28th 2016 I was washing my car/trucks in the driveway temps in the 40s. This year that's a no-go haha

Typically this time of year we are near the freezing mark for high temps. Currently we are in a cold snap that looks to last most of March. Nice thing is though this late in the winter season we start to get some heat from the sun. Normally in the winter the sun produces little to no heat due to our location so far north.

Tomorrow I plan to wash the truck as it's dirty (not nearly like it was last year!) It needs an interior cleaning badly also lots of dust and such from the heater blowing on high all the time. This is the time a cabin air filter would be nice.

I feel ya on the interior detail Russ. My truck is in the same boat. I hate seeing it so dirty too.

Nice moose! I've seen a lot but I can honestly say I've never seen a moose standing in my driveway. How do you get him to move out of the way?

They typically move away from cars (in a slow speed setting like this) I slowly pulled up near him and he moved into the snow, but kept eating the bushes haha

It's been so sunny and clear the last two weeks, just clear and cold. The best part is we're real close or slightly over 8 hours of daylight with civil twilight lasting much longer. I can go to work at 7:45am and come home at 5pm with no headlights needed!

few pics from this last week, just random.

Here in PA we are heading out of Daylight Savings Time this weekend. That means the sun will be out longer in the evening, but for the first few weeks the sun won't come up in the morning till almost 8:00. Right now I can drive to work at 6:45 and almost not need my headlights. Starting Sunday morning it will still be pitch dark out at that hour. Personally I think they could abolish DST and few people would ever miss it.

So what does an 800lb. moose like to eat? Anything he wants!

Yeah, Daylight savings is totally useless here a place that goes from 5 hours of daylight to nearly 24 hours of daylight...stupid!

Moose eat veggies mostly trees, bark, flowers, plants.

So, we're going on a month of sunny weather! No snow, No rain just lots of sunshine. With the late winter sun actually having some heat to it, even though the temps have not been getting much above freezing things are starting to melt. This means the truck is filthy dirty and the roads are black ice in the morning and wet during the day which is always fun. But the good thing is a nice slow thaw is much better then a huge warm up at once, we don't need flooding!

Getting close to that big 50k! Do you think you will hit it by the end of the month?

Nah there is no way, I'll probably hit 50k middle of next month if I was to guess.

So I changed air filters last year right about this time, I was doing oil changes and air filter changes on other vehicles in the fleet this weekend and figured i'd replace it, glad I did. It wasn't terrible but it was dirty.

My Grandpa is out of state for a week or so, I've been driving his '08 Sport Trac Adrenalin for kicks.

On Thursday we went to one of the golf courses and signed papers for a room. We are having a surprise birthday party for my Grandpa in July. I took this photo looking out on the city and a few mountain ranges...lots of snow still!

What no pictures of the Sport Trac Adrenaline? Been quite a few years since I've seen one of those. For whatever reason I don't think the Adrenaline series caught on too well in this area. What motor did Ford offer in those? The 4.6 DOHC?

So they are calling for snow Tuesday and Wednesday...we'll see what we get!

Yeah the second gen Sport Tracs sold pretty well, but they didn't make a lot of the Adrenalin's. His is the V8 which is the 4.6 3V that moves it pretty well.

It's Filthy on the winter wheels and tires so I'll throw a summer pic in too

Nope, I was super busy yesterday. I took plenty of pics but no time to post them.
I was up an out the door at 5AM and didn't get in bed until Midnight. I went in early and plowed the lot at work before everyone showed up...got the F-450 stuck and had to dig it out myself before anyone else showed up haha.

The F-150 sat at home since I was driving the Sport Trac, which I had some exhaust work and window tint done on this week.

I'll post photos from Tue night to Wed night.
