Just got the Estimate $4,600 and change. Still waiting for the full determination of fault, that's why I didn't accept the check today because it had my deductible pulled out. So I should have a check next week and can start ordering parts. I have a painter that will do the work that I trust to match the pearl white.

Russ...out of curiosity and if you want to say, what was damaged on it? Looks like the bed side and bumper was all that was damaged in the accident.

 

Is that paint code unique for the '11 Limited? Or is it just the White Platinum that Ford offers on other F-150's?

 

The truck is Tri-Coat Pearl white, that alone adds extra costs and concerns for me of it getting matched correctly.

There is very slight paint damage to the drivers rear door and cab corner.
The bed side has multiple small dents along with a large dent under the taillight.
Fender flare is damaged
Taillight is busted
Husky mud flap is destroyed
Wheel is damaged along with the center cap
Left side bumper and two brackets behind the bumper are damaged/bent

In the estimate from my insurance company they planned to remove the bed, remove the rear window to get everything painted. Bed cover has to come off along with all trim..ect

Working through the processes today, should be able to get parts ordered next week I hope.

Russ you're a better man than I am. If that had happened to me and someone hit my truck deliberately like that, law enforcement would be needed to pull me off of the other guy. And once I found out that they have a history of this sort of thing, they'd be needed to keep me from filling that a*****e.

I hope the body shop can fix it to look like new again. That paint sounds like it would be hard to match perfectly.

 

Just off the phone with the Sargent in charge of the traffic unit with the local Police Department. This is getting more interesting, going to leave any details out for now.

 

It will be interesting to see what the details are when it is the appropriate time....good luck with it.

 

Spoke with the Sargent again today, investigation is ongoing still.

I popped part of the big dent out and used rubbing compound to make it a little less of an eyesore.

 

Still waiting on the police, but I have been driving it.

Today it snowed! Well at the higher elevations. I ran up the hill after work and got some pics and vid.

 

She may be wounded, but she sure is pretty!
