Just done a clutch job on a 99 replacing throwout bearing and fork pivot too. Drove it for a couple months and pedal went to floor and dosent want to return. Replaced both master and slave today. No luck still same. Noticed slave rod os extended and no pressure on it while i push it in trans and turn to lock on no pressure when pulling it out. Ideas? I can pull fork back with wire hook and get a little pressure on slave as i reinstall it. Bearing exploded maybe?
Did you replace them separately, or as a pre-bled unit? If separate, did you bleed them?
Early 99 also had an issue with a weak shift fork. Pull the slave cylinder and check to make sure the fork isn't bent over so there's nothing left for the slave rod to push on.
Bled best i could filled slave before i attached line then worked slave by hand slowly after it all in truck letting air work up to reservior. Slave stiff but pedal pushes very easy to floor.
My 79 Bronco has a mechanical clutch linkage but It went to the floor once. The problem was a broken spring plate in the clutch pressure plate. It needed a new clutch pressure plate. Patrick
