I like the outcome in this event but man either of those beasts can tow... pretty impressive if I was to look at my truck I was driving 10-15 years ago and how it towed compared to my 2011.

LOL, they can get "heated up" over these tests, huh?! Freaking hilarious, IMO.

It is good to see this. I know on my recent trip along I70 because of the turbo it was out of breath.

My '11 6.7 had the same issue as I live in Jackson Wy at 6200 ft. Then everything goes up from there.

My new '15 6.7 does not have the air starvation like my '11. It just wants to keep pulling and gaining speed while pulling up grades.

At sea level or just a few K (1-4K) altitude it does fine, but upwards of 6K is where the issue is.

Glad to see that is better now.

I love it. I use to go to yahoo news all the time just to read the comments on news articles. Some of the responses are the best comedy material out there.

I can't wait to tow through the mountains with this 15; it's a beast.

If Dodge was running that test, for sure the results would have skewed the other way. For sure, they are both apples, just a different type not an apple to orange difference. Either truck is more then capable - you do not have to nor should you run a vehicle at 'b@##s to the wall' every time you have a load. It wont survive long. Love the comments - I appreciate what my truck can do. It's my tool to pull a 12K pound 5th wheel trailer, not a life as some of those commenters seem to think (though my wife might say otherwise). And that turbo - yep, even in the much lower altitude Adirondacks, it does seem to need a bit more huff, but for sure with the same load, is a LOT better then the last truck, with a 3V V10.

Usual disclaimer - the above, it's my opinion

Yes it is loads better. I had 2 major complaints about my 2011 6.7. First was ZERO exhaust braking and second was lack of top end acceleration/ passing power/ speed. It was just lazy.

The '15 addressed those 2 areas well. In my opinion.

I stopped reading that site a long time ago, because of the IQ points I lost reading the comments section of that site.

Its a shame, the writers/editors there do some of the best "truck" tests.

If you really want to be entertained, go to the Tow Vehicle section at RV.net! The IQ level of some brand loyalists there is pathetic. Some of those guys argue just for the sake of bashing Ford. They have nothing to back up the ridiculous things they say, but I guess as long as you say it with confidence on the internet it must be true right?

For sure,

And that right there is why I wont tell anyone anymore how well my 6.0 does with my 5er, and when I pull into most camp grounds I get questioned, the Ford camp gets it, seems the others just want to bash...may usual answer is everyone has to start somewhere, don't be jealous I drive a Ford.
