New booster. Pedal getting sucked in.

I looked around and couldn't really find a thread that described what's happening to my brakes. I had a faulty booster and so I replaced it. Ever since if I barely touch the pedal I hear a big woosh and the pedal gets sucked in but only for a moment. I've heard you can get faulty boosters as this is a napa reman. I know you can adjust the rod inside the booster. I kept the old master cylinder because I didn't think it was bad. Anyone else have their pedal sucked in when they push on it ? Thanks
