I received a package full of goodies for my Aerostar from a friend in the US. Amongst them were Bosch platinum plugs and Bosch ignition wires. My friend said that Ford's prices were outrageous. Any comments on the Bosch parts? Are they good?

I use both of those on my van and have been pleased with the quality and results. When I recently changed plugs, I tested each of the Bosch plug wires for resistance against a brand new set and after 65,000 miles, they were identical. (I took the new set back). Use with confidence.

I recently use a motorcraft spark plugs platinum/platinum set on my aero and the results was excelent.
How much for the set?

I installed the plugs and wires. Runs very nice and smooth. How long can I drive those plugs before having to change them? I don't want to even think about changing plugs for the next few years....
