You know, if there is a will there is a way. If you are needing to put a rubber bumper in that hole, you could always look at options for Fuel Door Bumpers.

You need it to securely fit in the hole and something like this could work!

Not made anymore? No problem. Just go test drive some '03s and '04s and 'inspect' the liftgate.

Neither my dads 2001 nor my 2002 have these little bumpers. His does have the plastic covering but my 02 doesn't have the protective over on the barn doors.

I think I may have found the answer!

I went to NAPA and checked what they had available. Found these and thought I would give them a try. Turned out they were almost the exact right size, I just had to trim the insert tab to get them to fit the hole.

After instillation I closed the window and everything looks really good. And for $7.00 for a bag of 6, we just cant lose.

I will keep an eye on how this performs and update the thread with my results.

Good luck and feel free to let me know what you think.

Rick
