New to the forum, been searching all over for a schematic and info on how to change out a thermostat on a 09 Escape V6 4x4. I've never messed with the car yet and will be doing the work tomorrow. The water pump just went out on my wife coming back from a trip and trying to save some money want to do the thermostat myself. Thanks in advance for all the help!

 

Go to the library, or if you can, go online and sign up at Autozone(free), and you can look at all the Chiltons books(repair manuals). I'm sure it should have thermostat replacement in the heat/cool section of the manual. I have never done the one in the wifes '07 yet, but I'm sure it'll be sooner than later.

 

The owner's manual states there is a air bleed valve for the engine coolant on the '09. I remember looking for it once but didn't find it although I didn't try very hard!
