94 f150 wont shift out of park????
was pulling a load the other day and when i got to the disposal site and started the truck up and poof wouldnt shift out of park. ABS light was flashing and had no brake lights. Found that the brake light fuse was blown in the fuse panel and swapped it out with the radio fuse and poof fixed the issue and it shifted. Now the fuse isnt blown but it still wont shift out of park. anyone had this issue before??? what sounds like the issue or the problem cz in a little dumbfounded by it. Thanks

Sounds like you have a persistent / hung (e.g. CM) 536 type code (Brake on/off) ........try clearing the EEC-IV of codes by disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes (if this doesn't work I'll give you other options).............

Sounds like the brake light switch directly under the steering column, or a wire leading to it. I had this exact issue awhile back, my truck would not come out of park so I had to turn the key once, and start it in neutral with my foot on the brake. My ABS light was on, too.
When this stop lamp switch goes bad, your truck thinks you don't have your foot on the brake, and won't let you go through the column gears. I replaced mine and that fixed the shifting out of park issue, but because I had a bad crimped wire going to it I had to replace the wire as well in order for my brake lights to work again. But in your case it might only be the switch itself.
Not sure if this is what's wrong, but that's exactly what I needed to do when my truck did this. Here's a link to the part. They're cheap & install in 5 minutes. Good luck!
