2005 Excursion 6.0l
So I just made the move to Dallas area from Los Angeles. Towing my Toyhauler trailer loaded down with all my tools and such. Around Tuscon the check engine light came on. I have a SGII Hooked up and it showed P0299. I also noticed a Whistling noise under hard acceleration. I'm assuming this is some sort of air leak that shouldn't be leaking haha. Truck ran fine the whole time and didnt notice any loss of power. Cleared the code and it has not come back on yet, but I have not towed with it since.

 

Ep turbo under boost, you have a leak in a CAC boot. one under each Battery, one over thermostat one to turbo. Check the Map hose too

 

I would say your variable vanes are froze up, jmo
