Hi all -on my 05 Escape 3.0V6 I am preparing to replace my AC compressor, I already ordered one. I plan to have a shop do the initial evacuation/disposal but plan to replace compressor and then vacuum down/recharge the system myself once I am done, I will have the pump and gauges. Can anyone tell me or point me to a link that describes in detail the actual steps of the vacuum/recharge procedure(s), how much 134a I need, etc..? Any and all advice appreciated!

 

Oil and R134 capacities should be on the front clip or somewhere under the hood.
