On the local craigslist. Appears they don't know what it is and kinda pricey. I would really like to make a motor home out of that.

Rare 1950 Ford C-500 Cab Over van truck

With the number of years involved in my current build, I would need another lifetime to build that.

Pulling the cab (or even painting it) might take a wee bit o' space, tools, and hard work. Seems to me that the box would need to come off first.

Yeah, that's pretty pricey for that truck considering there is a lot of work needed and very little use for it. What I mean, to make it a movable truck it's going to take a lot of work and money that is going to put it way over the value of the finished truck. A lot of these people with these big truck just see an old truck that should bring a big buck because it's old and rare but they have to find someone who wants it and has the time, money and room to work on it. I would say that truck is maybe a little more than scrap value.

Too bad, it sure would be a cool truck to fix up and use for a RV of some type. I would fix it all up with the box hand lettered to look like a period moving truck from the outside.

Does that say "Horses" or "Hodges" across the overhead? If that were a couple hundred miles closer, and a few thousand dollars cheaper, and I were twenty years younger, I would be interested in that unit.

It's a $1500 cab at best and a couple hundred dollars of scrap iron.

Ray it says "HORSES", good reason for the vents in the front top of the box and the windows way up high on the side. Still, it looks like it was a moving truck turned into a house hauler.

So, if you were to buy this with no title what would one do to get one? I guess it is different from state to state, but seems like there must be a way to make them legal. My 54 has a title but the frame is from a different truck having been swapped. The ID plate is missing on the body so I have a title (that isn't the same VIN as the frame so I haven't yet attempted to transfer) in Texas. Anyone know what is the best way to go about getting it done?

Well let's just say up in WI many of old cars have legal title for cars that have had their rotted frames and blown engines replaced. It's easier in some states than others.

I know this will probably get a lot of discussion going about legally titling vehicles but all of my old trucks and one car has so many parts from so many different vehicles it's hard to tell where the original car ends and the new car parts start.

I'd say horses, when one considers the louvered vents.

1953/54 hood side emblems and a 1954 grille, so it's not a 1950.

I would think that the floor system in the box would be shot. This thing will need a lot of money, work and prayer.
