F700 GVCW ??

Does anyone know the gross vehicle combination weight rating (GVCW) of a '92 F700 dump, (429 gas automatic trans).
Should I be able to tow a 6K trailer loaded with a Case 580SL (18k lbs), or a Komatsu PC100, (24k lbs)? It feels a little weak, with poor accel., especially on a light grade.

What kind of gas milage should I get. empty vs loaded?

gas milage 4-5 MPG loaded ford big blocks (460's) only got 10-12 in a 1 ton truck so you might get 8 empty

I'm not sure a trailer that only weighs 6k will safely haul 18k much less 24k.
My trailer weighs 7.5k and is only rated 20k, that said, I have had 24k on it but I was left wanting more brakes.

Holden 10 ton trailer (Ameritech)

Thanks for the feedback guys. The backhoe should be fine.
Darn, I just finished restoring the trailer before I got the excavator, it's a Komatsu PC100-6, 23,500 lbs.

I can't find the GVCWR for a '92 F700 anywhere. I want to be around 50K lbs. Things get costly above 54k.

I hope I don't have to invest in another truck and trailer. This 5-6 yard truck is perfect for residential work, and the trailer was just restored, oh well.

Thanks again for your help,

The GCWR is easy to find, at least the maximum properly equipped, it is listed in the sales brochure. You are most likely looking at a MAXIMUM of 42k as a GCWR, that is the standard on F700 thru at least the 60's to 70's.

It is also listed in some of the owners manuals.
