That's certainly true. But I do believe the OEM round cooler has a thicker sidewall versus the OEM square cooler. Hence why it had a lower failure rate, coupled with higher quality welds and tubing versus the fins.

The end caps are basically the same between the two.

The round cooler, being shorter, has a lot more weight to it than the square unit.
