I can't work out how to post pictures now, before, once they were in an album it was easy, not now.

I used to have trouble getting pictures into an album on this site, but once they were there it was simple enough. Now it is so much more complicated to take a picture from an album. They say take a picture from an album but don't show all the albums, nor do they let you use the mountain icon as before.

I know you are supposed to be able to take a picture off your computer now but I can't find the tutorial about it and I can't work it out.

The thing I liked about the old system was that if someone went to the trouble of putting a how to together and the photos were on this site, they would be available as long as the site worked I guess. With this new system when someone leaves I imagine the pictures will go too is that correct, like someone closes their photobucket account and the photos disappear off the site.

Anyway HELP please.

I have never tried photobucket, I'm just annoyed because I could use the old system reasonably well but now it doesn't work the same.

I've read it several times but I think it has something to do with internet explorer compatability

I haven't tried firefox but did try chrome because several said it was faster but I didn't care for the resolution and it gave me all the adds I don't get with Internet explorer. This seems to be a slow site I think because of the numbers using it. Pulling pics from your computer would be a nice feature but will likely have to do without for the time being.

Thanks for your comments.
Okiedokie, great photo, love it.
John, don't know how you found the photo of the Mustang steering wheel for my other post, I can't even find that album now, they don't list them like before, and some of them I can't see at all.
I am using Chrome at home. I need to read about how this new system is supposed to work and get my head around it.

Hey Aus....your albums are still there. Try going to the userCP and look in the column at the left of the page. Mine were lost & found a while back too.

Ax thanks for that link to the photo uploading tutorial. I got the chance to read it finally. I reckon they should put it in a sticky at the top of the forum page for newbies and any dumb old coots like me.

I still don't like the changes they have made to finding your albums.

i found another very easy way to add a picture to a post yesterday.
1) Open the picture wherever it's located.
2) right click on the picture.
3) select copy picture from the drop down box.
4) place the cursor where you want the picture to appear in your post dialog box.
5.) paste the picture (hold down control key and touch v)
6) picture should appear in post dialog box
7) add your post to forum as normal.
