Power Steering Issues
Hi. I have a 09 F150 2wd 4.6l. I am having trouble with my power steering. The problem is that there is none. There are no fluid leaks. When the wheel is turned even slightly it makes the sound you would normally hear if it was cranked all the way left or right.
So far I have tried completely draining the fluid and replacing. I assumed the pump was out so I installed a new pump, but no luck there either. The problem persists.
I am at a loss for what to try next. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you solve it? Any help would be appreciated.

I would try to bleed the system. all u do is turn the wheels side to side without hitting the stops and make sure the fluid level is full to line.
if that's not it then you could have a clogged line in the system. is there a power steering cooler on it?
if that's not it then it's the steering gear - that's what the power steering hoses are attached to and is connected to the tie rod ends.
also you must have the correct fluid in it - not mixed with anything
