I'm helping a friend fix his truck. He has a short to ground in the big gauge (not the smaller yellow ones) yellow wire that is not on the fuse link off the starter relay. It goes from the relay to somewhere..I traced it all the way to the big round connector going though the firewall but can't see where it goes from there. I don't think it goes to the fuse box. Anyone have a schematic that tells where this wire connects. It is shorted to ground and the battery doesn't like that! thanks.

 

If it's a 91 you should be posting your question in the 1987-1996 F150 & larger F seried trucks forum, the 6.2 is only in 2011 and newer trucks.

It could be that the right person that's had the same problem hasn't seen it yet. I had two of them in that same vintage and never had a problem in that area so I'm no help.
