transfer case output shaft loose

anyone had to replace the bearing and seal on the rear output of the transfer case ? I have a lot of play and had bought the bearing and seal a few years back but I need to do now I am getting vibrations and there is a lot of play up and down u-joint looks good but shaft moves a lot. I know some of you guys got more miles than I do (325000) , anybody have this problem? I am thinking im gonna tear it apart this weekend. before I put some bigger tires and go wheeling next month.

My truck has a lot of play also, I am also interested whats involved in changing the bearing/bushing. On a different note, love your avatar!

My F450 6 speed also has some play, but I'm not sure if it's the flange that's loose, or a bad bearing. I would assume that if the bearing was bad, that oil would leak past the seal...

Turns out mine was just a loose nut. The one that holds the flange to the output shaft of the transfer case, not the one behind the wheel =P
1-1/2" socket and 3' breaker bar tightened things right up!
On second thought, I'm not sure if the F450s have the same drive shaft setup as the smaller trucks...

Thanks for the reps. I put a little blue loctite on the nut so hopefully it won't happen again.
