49 F1. Altman bearclaw latches. Drivers door linkage?
I picked up a set of the Altman easy latch. Pretty basic to install the latch. But I could sure use help on the lock assy for the drivers door. What I would really like to see is pictures of any linkages or electronic stuff you have used for bearclaw latches to make it work. I don't like working with linkage and pulleys and all that. Hurts my head trying to figure it all out. Sure would appreciate any pics or drawings you could share. Thanks.

Drivers doors didn't have a lock, are you putting one in? I did Altman latches on my 52 but removed the passenger door lock and shaved the handles. I am using a remote door popper with actuators that pull. I didn't use a pulley but did use a 5" long piece of 3/4 x 3/16 steel with a hole in the middle to bolt to the inside of the door (with a small spacer) one hole in each end for rigid 1/8" ceiling tie wire to pull the latch up from below where there is room for the actuator.
