302 with Holley 2 bbl. carb gasket question

I bought a new 2 bbl. Holley and it came with a paper thin manifold gasket.
My gasket set and the old carb had a much thicker gasket on it, poss. 3/8" thick or more.

Any ideas on which I should run on a pretty stock engine, headers & mild cam with C-4?
Thanks,
TractormanBill

The old 3/8" thick gasket--was that really a gasket, not a phenolic spacer?

How do you connect your PCV?

I'd run it with the 1" thick factory PCV spacer with slightly thicker (than that paper) gasket. You can get these at most parts houses under Felpro brand. The ones I'm talking about here are about 1/32" thick. Felpro also makes those 1/4" thick gaskets too, they have hard plastic grommets at the bolt holes to prevent over tightening them and breaking the ears off the base plate.
