7.3 IDI IP timing
Tried the search box thing but I can't seem to find any info, Anyway had some IP work done on my truck, there is no marks to line up on the IP or the housing, I scribed a line across the IP and housing before i removed the pump, when it came back from the shop they had cleaned my mark off the IP, tomorrow I am borrowing one of them adapters so I can use a gas motor timing light, what should it be set at? I seen somewhere 8.5BTDC at 2000rpm, is that correct?

actually,it sounds like you may not have found the section devoted just to the international navistar 6.9l/7.3l idi diesels yet.
