Help!! Best alternator out there?

pass 2 nights when I hit that gogo juice pedal on the right. First thing in the AM going to check for loose connections battery/ alt. ect... But if it is the alternator whats the best aftermarket one out there? Preferably higher amps. Ill be running a couple of extra things on this tug boat lights and other miscellaneous things. Heard napa has bad reviews but idk. Any advice would be great from fellow X's out

I got a high output alternator for my 6.0 from these guys: Ford Alternators - Truck Tough High Output Alternators | Online Store

So far so good on mine, and they may have what you are looking for.

Good luck!

I understand, but they offer several options for Fords. They just might have what you are looking for.

I've been running the same DC Power alt for over 6 years now. Their products are top notch.

DC Power. More expensive, but you get what you pay for with them. You buy it once. You won't need to buy it again. Their specs on the output of their alternators are actually truthful..

This place has 100% new alternators both stock and higher amp.
http://alternatorparts.com/

Don't know what year you have but if you have an 04'up 6.8l you have to make sure you buy the right size alternator. My 04'' 6.8l take a large case 6G but my dads 03' 6.8l has a small case 6G.

My battery light comes on and voltage drops when under heavier load over 4k rpm. I am rebuilding the alternator myself. Already got the new HD voltage reg, HD rectifier, new bearings, slip ring, tolerance ring and etc.

I've had the DCPowerInc 250A XP series for over 2 years now and it's working like a champ. I've got a full A/V system and it can pull the amps but never missed a beat after replacing the failing factory alternator.

DC power is the way to go with any Alt. Second option is Mike Singer Welcome to Singer Alternators | Singer Alternators a bit cheaper than DC same quality.
