1988 rotor and hub issue

I have a 1988 F350 4x4. The rotor and hub assembly are one piece and not available. Is there a compatible 2 piece replacement? Any good info would be helpful.

This is a solid axle Dana 60, right?

I know 1987 and possibly part of 1988 were odd years for the TTB axle with the two-piece flange hubs, but I didn't know that the Dana 60 suffered from the same problem. Is there any way for you to post a picture of what you're looking at?

Are you sure it's 1 piece? I thought only 2WD were 1 piece. For a single wheel truck with a D60 front axle, D50 hubs and rotors will work just fine and the junk yards are full of them-cheap!

We have a start!

OK, engine is 351. Front axle is straight, might be a Dana but not sure how to tell. Manual lock hubs. Might take a couple of days to provide pictures. Local dealership verified single piece but had no suggestions.

If the rotor and hub are one piece (I really, REALLY want to see a picture of this) then why can't you order a rotor and hub that are separate and put them on?

I'm would love that if I can be sure they're a good match and a good source. I live in a salty area and rotors go fast.

welcome to FTE.
the rotor and hub ARE NOT one piece. they just look that way.

you need to remove the rotor/hub assembly, then press the wheel studs out of the hub.
once the studs are out beat the living crap out of the rotor with a large hammer and it will brake loose. then put the new rotor on, and press the studs back in.

Do the wheel studs hold the rotor and hub together, and does the rotor fit behind the hub flange?

That's not possible -- your rotor is a separate piece on the 4x4. The 4x2's are one piece (hub and rotor)

On my 88 inline 6 4X4 I had to remove the hubs to get to that huge nut that holds the rotor on. Great time to pack em out with some grease anyway. Sorry, I am not techincal, but I do know I had to go through the hub to get the rotors off.
