Thumbs up Brought Her Home Yesterday

Picked up my new 2015 F250 King Ranch 4x4 in the Blue Jeans color yesterday. As a comparison, up against my former 2012 F250 King Ranch, the new one drives like dream right out of the box - steering is rock solid stable, no "walking", and thus far none of the infamous transmission issues that plagued the 2012.

I'm really liking the new dashboard layout. I opted for the full MyFord Sync / navigation package and headrest DVDs. I'm especially digging the new King Ranch leather - the color is gorgeous and it "feels" more substantial.

I'll get some photos up soon.

MyFord/Sync is standard in KR. Had no idea about headrests, must be dealer installed option (even if through Ford as it wasn't there as a computer option when I ordered end of April).

Pics or it didn't happen, lol. Congrats! Allegedly I have a KR somewhere.

One other quick note: the tires came filled with nitrogen - the ride is smooth like butta! I've never used nitrogen before, so curious if that's contributing to the smooth ride.

I'm in a rural area, though, and the closest fill center is an 80 mile r/t - so not too convenient if I need a top-off.

DD, the nitrogen filled tires are to stabilize the tire pressure. Nitrogen doesn't expand when heated like air. but it won't make your ride any smoother either.
If you get a flat don't worry about it just do like you used to do !

Downside is, if you tow heavy often, nitrogen will be annoying.
I lower my air pressure when empty and add pressure depending on weight often enough where it would be pointless.
Ask your tire vendor for certain but my understanding is you can add air to nitrogen filled tires but you'll eventually lower the effectiveness of it.
I don't think nitrogen filled tires are 100% nitrogen anyways.

Hi, Kper !
My understanding of it is not the gospel either, but I don't know why they wouldn't fill tires with compressed nitrogen and be done ??
Yes I know it's not Pure .
My point is unless the truck is on the Indy circuit, I probably can't see a need for it !!
First leak then what ?? Drive to where to refill for how long ??
I'm not complaining or anything about it just wonder what the actual benefit for 99.9 % of the users would be ???

Ummm...all gasses expand with temperature and good old air is 78% nitrogen. It's a gimmick IMHO.

The dealership where I buy my wife's vehicles (not mine) fills the tires with nitrogen during the dealer prep and it is part of their "dealer fee". It is one of those things that is non-negotiable. They claim it's free, but nothing ever is. Call it whatever you want, but I can tell you this, I had one for 3 years, and this last one for 1 year so far with nitrogen and I have yet to adjust the tire pressure...ever. I never have the low tires on her SUV in the harsh winter that I do on my truck or her vehicles before this one with traditional air. I like it. I wouldn't pay a lot for it, but I have no problem with how my dealership is doing it now. I think it is great for vehicles that don't adjust air pressure frequently (like I do in my truck). I'll take my real world experience thanks.

P.S. Congrats on the new truck! Pics or it didn't happen

No, they are not 100% nitrogen. Most shops use a machine that puts in a mixture of oxygen and nitrogen - forget what the ratio is but I remember the nitrogen was lower than what I would have expected.

I use pure nitrogen in my tires and never have to adjust them. Even when I have to add oxygen while on the road and away from my shop, it is negligible since I start with pure nitrogen.
