man that's clean through and through.a true survivor.
the E40D's were the only option placed behind the 460 and diesels in the hd trucks (for autos.) however im uncertain if that would be standard or optional in the f150/351W setup.
on the drivers side door tag, you'll see the trans code.
E = E40D

grab the axle code there while your at it,to find if she sports LS or an open diff and which gearing she has.

It's limited slip I know that bc it is in the sticker he gave me. I'll check out the axle and tran code in the morn and let you know. Gives me an excuse to go mess around w it while I'm waiting on the title and plates

If it has OD it is an E4OD.

Hmm I don't know that it has OD. I don't think it does. It sure didn't get good mileage flying on the way home. Dumb question. How would I know if it had OD? Would it be on the shift column? I'll check on the tranny and report back tomm

Judging by the interior pic and the shifter lever, it has the e4od.

Pics worked this morning, what a clean truck! You basically got a new truck for $6,000 instead of $60,000!

Thanks it's far from new and there are some flaws but I know what you mean

Btw the trans axle code is E19 which looks like a limited slip E40D w/ 355 gears. Highway truck. I'm gonna have to check if it has OD or not. I can't remember. I think it has 1,2,3 and "D"

Has D47 springs and Y "tape". Not sure exactly what that means

E4od stands for electronic 4 speed over drive. Your shifter lever will have a button on the end of it to turn the od on or off and when it is off your lever will light up and say od off.

First of nice truck.

Y tape means the color of the tape pinstripe in between the light brown and dark brown. I am not sure what exact color it is as I have never looked up tape colors because all my trucks don't have it (I don't care for tape pinstripes).

Thanks. I don't think it has a pinstripe anymore. Not sure I'll have to look. It's been raining here all week no joke. Not normal for MO. Cooler than normal too.

What's those springs mean?

I have the same tires on my 03, and am pretty happy with them. Just got back tonight from mountain biking in the higher country, and they are very stable at speed on the rough forest service roads, and climb well in loose off road stuff.

The pic above that you posted is the pinstripe. It is hard to see at a quick glance but if you look closely it is there. I can personally always tell because it never goes all the way to the wheel well it is always cut just a bit before it which personally drives me nuts and looks cheap.

Those springs are the ratings of the spring lbs it can hold and which ones they are. Frankly I never could figure out which spring was which on the older Fseries but maybe somebody else can. I believe yours are the 5560lb rated ones but don't quote me on that as I am not for sure.
