As I figured, my "Flake" trade for my 38 special fell through.
I still have a nice snub nose 38 special if anybody's interested. I have $225 in the revolver alone, but it also comes with 60 or so rounds, plus an inexpensive holster.

Here ya go Tony
It's nothing fancy, but it's in good condition and does what it's supposed to do without spending a chunk of change.
It's an RG Industries model 39, snub nose 38 special.
Also open to trades like 6 or 12 string guitars, 5 string Banjo, wood working tools (not a saw) and of course a shot gun, preferably 12 gauge pump.

Hey thanks Tony, I'm sure having a time re-homing it though. Seems people (except me) have gotten away from revolvers, and one that dosen't have a fancy name and big price tag. I basically would like to get out of it, and into something else to play with. It's literally been a drawer for the last 2 years.

Not a bad looking gun, I'll ask around. You said $225?

Yup, I have a guy interested in it. It's a nice little carry weapon. I brought it with me from Missouri. Bought it from a friend that buy's and collects all different kinds of toys.

Be sure the buyer has a permit. No need to cross that line. You can print out a 4473 on line as well. Best to keep good records. My neighbor got a visit from the SBI a few years back. Turns out a gun he used to own was used in the commission of a crime. He showed his record of the transfer and that was the end of that.

Yeah I've been through that already. A guy wanted to buy it, with his fiance's CCW permit. So needless to say I still have it. Another guy offered more than I wanted for it, but with no paperwork, no questions asked. And again, I still have it.

When I got rid of the Jeep Hard top, someone offered me a 12 gauge in trade. Since it was from CL, I asked for the serial so I could take it down and run it with the sheriff, and I never heard back from him.

Ended up getting a Fender Strat for it instead. Dang if it doesn't just sing the blues in the right hands (not mine!).

The laws on a long gun (Rifle/Shot Gun) aren't near as tough as they are for a hand gun. I don't trust most people in the first place, so I go often with the gut feeling.

Is anyone using a reflex sight on a pistol? How do you like it? What brand and model do you have.

I want to get one. Probably going with the Trijicon RMR.

Anyone have or shot a Sccy industry cpx 2? I've been checking them out since they're a very affordable compact 10+1 9mm. They also have the best warranty out there, lifetime no questions asked will repair or replace the weapon. They also say that if your weapon is stolen and you fill a police report they will replace your stolen weapon.

From what I read they branched off from keltec and had some trigger and safety issues with the first gen cpx 1, from what I understand the cpx 2 and new cpx 1 have that issue fixed. I've literally watched torture tests on you tube tell my eyes hurt. Seems the reviews from people that have them love them. Then you see reviews from people who love glocks/sigs hate them, then again most of those same people have bad things to say abiut the ruger LCP the wife carries and the shield 40 I carry.

A cpx 2 can be had for about $265 before tax in local gun stores, and about $285 for the cpx 1 since it has the safety. I'd go with cpx 2 because I'm not a fan of safeties on a carry weapon.

The wife really wants one in the Teal/stainless or white/stainless two tone they have. I've considered buying her one for her birthday in May but i will be putting a couple hundred rounds threw it to test reliability before allowing her to carry it.
