Need a 352

Hi, I have a 1965 Ford F250 and I need to find a fresher engine than the one I got. Is it possible to find an engine in good shape or do I spend the money to rebuild the one I have which is smoking pretty bad. I am in central Wisconsin.

I would just rebuild the one you have. Even if you find a usable one and swap it in, you don't know its history. If you rebuild you know exactly what you have.

The 352 is now somewhat uncommon as it was superseded by the 360 and 390 for trucks. If I were you I would look for a car 390, high compression version if you can find it. I am replacing my 352 but I have a bit more money to waste so I am using a 428 crank with pistons to give a theoretical 10.5 CR. I know I will pay more for 94 gas but the extra power and response justify it. All just mho.
