need driveshaft for 1949 ford f1

Hi guys - I am looking for a drive shaft for my 1949 ford f1. I am restoring it original. I have a v8 flathead and a floor mounted three speed [light duty] transmission. The rear end is stock dana 41. All I am missing is the stock driveshaft. Somebody must have one from a conversion project they did.

thanks for your help

jc

I have one...somewhere from my 49 F-1 that had a flathead V8 and 3 speed stick. I'd have to look it up. Where are you located?

Drive Shaft

I sent a PM yesterday, but just saw your post count! I have a DS from a 1950 F1 w/ a. Flattie v8 and a 4sp. If it will work for you, you can have it. I'm in OKC every day, so let me know.

1948/52 F1 w/a T-87 H/D 3 speed column shift uses the same driveshaft as the 4 speed (21C-4605-C).

With a 3 speed L/D (column or floor shift), the F1's driveshaft is different (21C-4605-A).

And some 1948 F1's use a different driveshaft (8C-4605) than other 1948's, 1949/52's.
