I'm swapping the '92+ clip on as part of my build so I'll be swapping in HIDs after the build is finished.

It is worth it. and if you already have the housings, that's $70 you don't have to spend. I am so pleased with this setup that I am considering their H3C HID kit for my Hella fog light's.

That's what I wanted to know. Thanks.

As a matter of fact, here is an output shot of those exact headlights. This is only one of them.

Thanks for the write up, and for the above pic Evan.

Ever since my wife got her new car with projectors I've wanting to get a set for my truck, I really like the way they light up the road. Thanks again for the in depth detail on how to retro fit.

BTW~ I noticed from your sig you have a Spyder. My Dad is a Corvair freak, I grew up with a yard full of them.

No problem. For me it all started 3? years ago when my mom got her Navigator. It has HID's and they are amazing to drive with at night. I wanted a set the day I saw that, just didn't want to go around blinding people.

My Grandpa is a Corvair freak as well. He had a 1964 4 door that he put close to 200k miles on. He bought the '64 that I now have over 20 years ago as a project but never found the time and drive to finish it. Decided he would rather I have it and I get it running than sell it off.

If anyone has any more questions or request's for any pics, let me know as I would be more than happy to help.

The lights in the pic you posted above, how would you describe them? Are they worth a flip, or would they fall into the unsafe category in regards to other drivers?

I wish my Dad had stopped at two corvairs, he still has over 20. Vans, station wagons, rampsides, he's got em all. More of a junkie than a freak.

They are decent, good for the money now. They have a fairly good cutoff and no real glare, but use generic japan bulbs so the output isn't going to equal to OEM like a D2S retrofit and the color wont be as accurate. However, much better in most cases than stock. I just could never get past the looks of them...

For those that have an interest in projectors for their trucks, but don't want to do it or don't have the time, feel free to PM me as I will build a set for anyone that asks. If you have any questions about that process, PM me for info.

I would be interested in a set for sure. Most of the official aftermarket projectors for these trucks I've seen either aren't very good, or look like a$$ imho.
