Everybody remember, it's an adjustment in the SCR system for emissions. Just as a side note it may affect egt sensor reliability. That's why the "E" prefix on the recall. E for emissions.
From reading the thread it is only the 1-3 sensor causes the shutdown. So theoretically in a pinch you could swap the bad sensor with one of the other sensors to get you down the road until you get a replacement? I've just experienced this on my 2012 F350 with only 38,000 miles. It is currently in the parking lot at work luckily it shut me down before I could get on the road. Where is the 1-3 sensor? is it easy to get to?
When mine shut down in aug 2014 dealer said egt sensor but there were over 6000 on backorder, took truck home and played with it moved sensors around still shut down I knew which one was bad because it read open. so after thinking about it went down to the pull and save and found plugs that fit and made a three way jumper so I can plug one sensor into two plugs of the harness and the computer thought it was reading all for sensors when in fact it was reading three worked till they got new sensors in about a month later took jumper out and plugged bad sensor in took it back they replaced it and all was good that was around 30000 mi had update done may of 2015 well today it gave warning and died no start. Code p200c 72000 mi cleared codes got back home waiting for it to do it again then have it towed to dealer so that they can read codes.
