i got a 2004 ford f150 with 160k miles, bought it from an auction ,engine light was on and the engine was kinda rough, took it to local ford dealer and paid them $175 to run a diagnostic , the report was saying the truck has bad camshaft solenoids plus i need to replace most of the gaskets gave me estimate of $2000 so i decided to buy the part at my own which cost me $374 plus my local mechanic told me he would charge me $400 in labor which is not bad at all, 3 days later the mechanic called me saying the problem still there so i was like ??????? do you guys think the car needs reporgramming after installing the new solenioids, forgot to mention once i unplug the camshaft sensors the truck runs very smooth like new issues at all, but once i plug them back on just the right one the engine starts roughing again.
