I think it has something to do with the drivers side hub and or ujoint. Since I locked and unlocked that side the truck has been a lot better. Maybe not 100% but way better. We will find out tomorrow night for sure though.

I've had bound up axel u-joints do funny things to the steering exactly as you have described. The clocking postion that the u-joint comes to rest at plays a big part in the problem coming and going. Good luck Mister.

I am happy to hear it is working better for you. My guess is you'll need a U joint on that side soon. I remember not doing it when we did ball joints on that side, but is was fine then and also over 3 years ago.
