Suspension Squeak at 20k

I've got one hell of a squeak coming from the suspension (sounds like right front) when there are drastic changes to the road surface (dip, speed bump). I can't for the life of me figure out where it's coming from, but it definitely sounds like something needs some grease and to be honest it annoys me. Problem is there is nothing to grease, and I don't feel a trip to the dealer is going to resolve anything. Ideas on diagnosing it? Anyone else have any weird squeaks?

Edit: I've read about ball joint issues, but 20k seems too soon for ball joint issues.

put the front end up on jacks. Just an inch or two off the ground.

Then with a pry bar under the wheel, lift the wheels. One at a time of course.

You may have someone else do the prying while you watch everything. Look at all of your suspension components for incorrect movement.

It may just be a shock.

I know it sounds crazy, but open the tailgate and see if the squeak is gone. The rubber pads on the ends of the tailgate squeak like all heck after a whiles.

Hi gang,

Come back and tell us if you're able to track down the source of the squeak. If you decide to get your dealerships involved, let me know and I'll loop in your regional customer service managers.

Well after a month of being annoyed I humbly took my truck to the dealership (hats off Hall Ford Elizabeth City NC) to have it addressed. I checked everywhere for the culprit, and they didn't find it immediately either but they did find it, and resolved it.....

Apparently a sizable rock made its way and lodged itself between the control arm and frame (???) and when the suspension flexed it squealed like hell. It's fixed now and I'm on my way to pick it up. They said they're letting the rock in the cupholder so maybe later I'll post a picture of it and where it was lodged.

Hopefully others can benefit from this and clear their squeaky suspensions as well. Honestly I feel retarded for not finding it.... Oh well.

Crystal, thanks much for the offer, I didn't see any need to engage regional people. My dealership is pretty good about taking care of issues, but it's great to know that you're here for us should we need help
