And then all you have to worry about is coolant leaking into trans fluid or visa versa.. I think I have read several posts on here where guys have had that problem.... 32 row 6.0 trans cooler and your tranny heating problems will be over..

The radiator cooler is more effective than the 6.0L cooler. But to each his own.

And there are two 6.0L coolers available. 26 row and 31 row. No 32 row coolers were made.

The answer to your question is a few posts above yours...

The OTW cooler is really important and effective. Water is a more efficient heat transfer medium than air, and water is always flowing around the OTW cooler, as long as the engine is running... even if you are stuck in traffic and there is no air flow at all.

Mark Kovalsky, a member here and former Automatic Transmission test engineer for Ford, made his living instrumenting automatic transmission cooling systems, and found that in every case and every circumstance, bar none, the oil in the OTW transmission cooler was warmer than the water in the lower radiator. So the OTW transmission cooler is always transferring heat from the transmission to the engine cooling circuit.

For model years 2001 and beyond, Ford also found the OTW cooler to be indispensable, and reintroduced it back into production for every Super Duty made since. Ford also made retrofittable parts available and issued a TSB to advise dealers of a service procedure to convert 99-00 trucks without an OTW cooler into trucks that had one... by replacing the radiator and a couple of forward transmission cooling lines.

Sorry for my typo, 31 row. My experience with the 6.0 cooler is 3 years and 15k miles of towing 12k Toy Hauler. My 31 row trans cooler has worked great....I know my temps run lower than you like, with outside air temps at 100 and pulling hills, I have never gone over 165 degrees That is the way I like it, like you said to each their own...

I thought that 210 just driving though town seems warm for no reason, but if you say that is normal operating temps for his truck he has nothing to worry about.
