pictures of single cab long bed vs 6.5' bed?

I've been scouring the Internets in search of a single cab long bed 4x4 F-150 between a 1992-1996 model and I came across something I've never seen before recently. I was looking at this one truck thinking that's not a short bed but it doesn't look like a long bed either. I had never encountered this before but it was just a picture so I blew it off to the way the pic was taken. Then one day I was doing some reading and apparently there is an 8 ft bed, a 6.5' bed AND a 5.5' bed.

I always thought the short bob looking beds were "short beds" but it seems some people call the 6.5' a short bed.

Anyways, I'm really wanting a 8ft bed but does somebody have a picture of single cab long 8ft bed vs a single cab 6.5" bed? It's easy to spot the 5.5" beds but it's hard to tell the other two apart...

Yours a 6.5 or 5.5? NICE truck btw! I like those tow lights. I think I'm going to do that to mine too.

There are no 5.5 foot beds on these trucks and the 6.5 bed is actually 6-3/4'(80") long.

They're pics I found on google images. My truck is the 88 crew cab in my sig. An F150 is way too light for my needs.

THIS is my truck

I see. The one must have just looked funny in a picture b/c its not a short bed. It's pretty easy to tell them apart but I thought there were 3 beds after googling it. So the 6 1/2' is on later models or supercrew/cabs?

The truck I'm looking at is a long bed then. The kid told me it was short but said he didn't know for sure but would measure and tell me but he never did. Thanks

The 5.5' bed is on the Supercrews from 2001 to present

The 80-97 offered 2 beds like Conanski said

Long 8'
Short 6.75'
NOTHING else. Discussion over

Ya a 460, 3:55 gears, and no egr. I've won every drag race against my friends trucks. Everybody wants to drive it and I've had several people try to buy it. When I went to pick my truck up from an exhaust shop it had been at for 2 days the owner said at least 6 people tried to buy it. They don't have to find a parking spot for it though!

I haven't figured out why they do those 5.5' beds. My dad has one and it's useless. He wants my truck.

Grocery getter. You haver to remember 3/4 of the trucks sold today NEVER have more than a bag of mulch put in the bed

Thanks guys. I'm clear on it now. I just need to be able to put a toolbox and eventually a dirt bike or four wheeler in there and I want to be able to close the bed. However if I found an extended cab I liked I don't think I would want a long bed b/c the truck would just be too long. I've been around trucks a lot and growing up a guy had a 6'' suspension lifted F150 extended cab red XLT. It was sweet. Another guy had a F250 w/ a v10 4 door long bed on 44's. We rode around everywhere in that thing and every once in a while he'd let me drive. One time he actually accidently ran over the hood of a little car b/c it was beside him at a stop light and he didn't see it lol. Sadly he died in a car accident but those two trucks made me love Ford trucks forever.

I have an 03 supercrew with that bed. It is short, but my priority was to be able to haul the family around, tow a trailer, and keep our stuff in the bed. I also have 1-5 mountain bikes and friends every week, along with supplies.
I did not want a super long truck because I like the maneuverability when off roading. That truck is perfect for what I use it for. Occasionally, I will use it for wood or other materials, and it handles those loads as well.

However, I have the 88 1 ton RC LB so I can actually haul bigger heavier loads.

But, I've been thinking it would be nice to have a short flareside 4x4....
