Another warranty querie
Hyundai dealer offered me there preowned 1st car canada warranty (forget the exact name). It basically is a bumper to bumper, and it is valid at any certified shop with $100 deductible and I pay for diagnostic. So my question is would you guys go ford ESP or with there generic used car warranty? I am not sure on the price difference as I have to go and talk to the finance guy and sign the bank papers still. I believe its a four year 80 000 kms thing.
And would the certified shops be able to tell if the truck had been chipped?...I would think only ford has access to that kind of reader

Hmm..
I have a not so great Hyundai experience and will never deal with them except for any warranties that we might need to get taken care of with the current car. I did buy that warranty when we bought our Elantra Touring, it was pretty cheap (600ish)..
My problem with them was that my less than one year car blew a clutch at 12,296 miles. They claimed it was abused and because a clutch is a wear item, it was only covered for the first 12,000 miles. I was the only one to drive that car and have been driving a manual for about 30 years and I know it wasn't abused.
Long story short... BBB involved.. only when I agreed to go to mediation (as in they would have to send some man power) did they agree to pay for it. The whole thing just left a bad taste in my mouth. We will drive the car into the ground as its our commuter, business car that gets lot of miles, but I won't buy a Hyundai again, what happened to the best warranty in america?
