My trucks been acting funny when it rains, I figure it's the gem module getting wet. Take it to my ford dealer and they say the central fuse panel is getting wet and they can't open it to see how bad and it's a 2000my only part that's discontinued from ford.
Anybody have an idea? Or have one for sale? Or know of a company the rebuilds them? My truck has been sitting for a week and I'm bummed! Help!!
do you have what the original Ford Part or Engineering # would be? I'm sure there are still plenty out there in the dealer/warehouse network, usually you have just a lazy parts guy.
You'd think a part like this would be stacked like cord wood in some dusty warehouse. But I've looked at other sites and this has been obsolete for almost 8-10 years... Really don't want a "maybe it works, maybe it don't" crapola from E-bay.. I'd like to find a place that can refurbish it.. Or clean it up as best I can and try to seal up my windshield.. Maybe craft up some type of water deflector and slam it back home and call it a day..

My best bet would be to call an LKQ and see if they have in used in their nationwide network. I guess I ought to start looking for a spare, mine quit powering the OBD-II port and the bottom lighter, same circuit.
If you drill out just the end of the bits circled in red, just to the threads, you should be able to open up the fuse box (they're kind of like rivets.) Then get a good can of electrical contact cleaner and a toothbrush and clean to your hearts desire! tough corrosion can be worked on with a piece of scotchbrite or similar.
They are the hold down points for the harness, that's why you don't want to remove the threads just the shoulder before the threads start. They also hold the fuse box halves together using that shoulder
