2004 f250 superduty axel remove

What tool do you need to remove the pin in the ring and pinion gear in the front axel ? 2004 f250 superduty.

Do you have a pic of what exactly you are talking about? The hub assembly should pull out as one unit after removing the snap ring and washers, then unbolting from the back of the knuckle.

Once removed, the axle should pull out through the knuckle.

Thanks for the instructions. So I take it you do not have to take the inner axel cover off and remove the c ring to pull the axel out?

So still curious about removeing that rod in the center pumpkin old stile rear end had a 5/16 bolt to remove that went threw the pin. This is ressed down in a hole can't see it. I don't know if it is a torx or Allen or what.

I guess I'm not following what you are trying to do. If you are removing the front axle it should be removed as the link I posted above. Maybe someone else can chime in to assist.
