11" clutch to 12", drill/tap flywheel?
Bought a centerforce df200015 clutch. Advertised for 6.4/7.5l.
Problem is my flywheel for my 428 is for the smaller diameter 11" clutch. Holes are about 3/16" out to fit the centerforce 12" clutch. I don't see a problem with offsetting and drill/tapping new holes for the new clutch.
Any suggestions or experience on this?
I don't want to swap flywheels (if that's an option)as it is drill weighted for a balanced assembly.
Trans is a np435

Hi,
Years ago when I did my clutch job I upgraded from the stock 11" clutch to a 12 1/8" clutch. I used a diaphragm style clutch carried by RhinoPac P/N 07-050A 90206. Technical hotline 1-800-528-6743.
This clutch kit was a direct replacement unit to my existing flywheel with no Mod's required.
Just another option for ya and, ...... "no" I don't work for RhinoPac ;-)
Take care,
