Factory Ford Flatbed w/ 1964 F250 4X4

Year: 1964
Make: Ford
Model: F-250
Price: $500
Mileage: 2147483647
Color: White and Green
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): MT
Transmission: Manual
Drivetrain: 4WD & AWD
Color: Green
Engine: 223

1964 F250 4X4 w/ factory Ford flatbed
223 inline 6
T98 4 speed
Dana 24 t-case
Dana 44/60

This truck is tired. It uses engine, transmission, transfer case, differential, and brake oil. Cylinders 3 and 4 miss at start-up but come out of it once the engine gets up to temp. New sparkplugs will fix the problem for a day or two. The brakes work, but one of the rear brakes is often overzealous and likes to lock up. It stops better in 4wd.

The high beam indicator, speedometer, and fuel gauge don’t work. One rear turn signal doesn’t work. I think it is the turn signal switch. Everything else works.

The doors work like new and the frame is solid. The rest of the truck is hammered. The stack of rear springs is quite awe-inspiring.

I would be willing to separate the bed from the truck as I don’t have a title and most sane people tend to run from title-less vehicles.

Does anybody want just the bed or truck? I would gladly separate.

I can't believe there's not even any tire kickers around. Is $500 to much? Make me an offer. I'd trade for a .357 revolver (although some might be worth more then the truck).

I've got my eye on another one and would like to see this truck sell.

If you were close, like 250 miles even, if drop 500$ in a second.
These trucks are stupid rare down here, everyone keeps them to rot in their back yard.

What do you want off of it? I do have enough parts laying around to piece together 3 or 4 highboys.

lol. well, i've been trying to get a steering wheel, turn signal switch and horn assembly for months. i have a 64 F100 2wd. not sure how much of what you have will work, but i suspect alot. i need a gas tank, too but i don't think we can ship that cheaply enough to be worth it. I might buy one from DC or LMC. LMC has the sending unit and DC doesn't.

Sorry, i'm babbling.

I am trying to keep mine from rotting in the back yard. Certain people do not like my "treasure" yard that has been accumulating.

I don't buy anything from LMC - mainly because of the poor customer service. I would see if summit racing has what you need. There customer service is amazing.

The whole steering system is different from the axle to the steering wheel. Nothing (that I know of) interchanges. I may have a decent steering wheel laying around. I will PM you if I do.

ok, thanks. some guy has one for me, but it is cracked all the way through. the horn assembly works, so if your steering wheel is ok but doesn't have a horn i'll buy both. what about a turn signal switch. those are IMPOSSIBLE to find for a 64.

I'll swing by the pile after school and see if the '64 F100 2 wheel drive has a good one in it.

Thanks. check out the steering column, too. I am not opposed to throwing away the crap one I have in there now.

The 2 steering wheels I have have a lot of cracks and missing pieces. The turn signal switch is toast.

The Highboy is still sitting out in the yard waiting for someone to come get it...
