Can I install the complete self adjusting rear brake setup from a 70 F100 (backing plates out) on my 63 F100? I just thought they would be a little safer. Thanks, Brett

Self adjusters introduced in 1964 F100's.
Be aware that the self adjusters only work (if they work at all!), when you back up and step on the brake pedal.
Examine the cables (2A178) closely, they're notorious for snapping. The levers are the same front/rear, but are right (2A176) & left (2A177) specific.
Thanks, guys! After surveying the situation: I think I'll stay with the originals. I'd have to buy new drums and brake hardware. I have all new for the original setup. I put Speedway's disc setup on the front, so I should have good stopping power.
