Looking at a f100 completely taken apart, replacement fenders, two cabs, Frame and cabs been sitting outside for a while, everything else inside but in many boxes. What's it worth?

I'm sure some members will be along soon to give you some pointers and advice.
You will need to give more info like location and a lot of details about what is included, engine, trans, rear axle, how much of it is rotted/rusted, etc.

And of course lots of pictures...

BTW, Welcome to FTE!

No pics but needs total restoration, has a straight six, frame is rolling but only has axels and suspension mounted, bed is heavily rotted, hood fenders, nose clip all taken apart don't really know if all parts to complete. just looking for a rough price. Am I looking at $500 or $5000?

Thanks

Neglect usually means broken and incomplete. You are buying a parts truck - value starts at $500 without a title. Unless something is fully functional - like the engine, pricing doesn't exceed $1000.

I don't know how typical my situation was, but I paid $500 for my '54 F250. It had been sitting 10 years, but I knew engine had been running when parked, body had minimal rust, was complete. I still have over $3000 in it and am just now getting to the paint stage.

Does it have a title with the correct VIN? Give him a low offer since you don't really know if it is all there and the fact that it is in pieces. You are looking at a lot of work, especially since you are not the one who took it apart. You have to think about what it is worth to you and how much you will have to spend on it. Are you going to restore it or resto-mod?
Good luck with it and you have come to the right place to find answers, there are a lot of very knowledgable people here.

Have you ever put a basket case together? It's not the big pieces that will cost it's the little stuff. Bed's run $1,500 and up new. Solid cabs are worth $300@ (more with doors). Stock frames are a couple hundred dollars (but to be worth much they need the title) VINs are stamped on the passenger side of the frame between the front cab mount and the radiator.
Everything else doors, fenders, running boards etc will bring $100 up depending on the condition their in.
The thing that costs is all the other stuff: head light buckets, parking lights, wiper motor and linkage, window regulators, door locks, inside and outside handles, ALL the cab stuff (*****, switches) heater stuff, etc. Believe me it adds up fast!
If you get it cheap, under $500 it may be cheaper to part it out and look for a more complete truck. Just a thought.

The big question is it a BIG rear window or not, makes a big difference. Never mind I thought we were talking about a 56, duh.

Could we see some pictures? Here is how.

But I got ta say becoming a supporter is the fastest and easiest way to post pics right from
your whatever pad/cell thing or home computer.
Few of us look in the users Gallery or album as you can see by your recent visitors.

It seems awkward, but whenever you "insert a picture" to one of these threads, the forum is looking for the picture somewhere on the web (which is always available) rather than from somewhere on your hard drive (which isn't always available).

Go to Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket and sign up for a free account. Then create an album for your truck. Upload any pics you want to post on FTE to that album. Have this album open on your computer when you want to post pics on FTE.

While you're making a post on FTE, select the pic you want to post from your Photobucket album. When the large version of the pic is open, right mouse click on it and select "View Image Info". The image info will be highlighted and will look something like this:
The best photos and videos | Photobucket

Copy that highlighted info (right click / copy).

When you have the spot in your post where you want the pic to be placed, select the "Insert Image" icon at the top of the post (looks like a mountain) and paste (right click / paste) the image info you copied in the highlighted box (just shows "http://" when it opens).

Your pic will be placed in the post.

Hope that helps.

Here's a tutorial Bob put together: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/67...-pictures.html Bob's link is not working. Can someone in the know tell me why?

How to upload pictures to the FTE Forums. - YouTube. Thanks Sam Rusty_Old_F250. Best we can find is that this video was done by Gundown64
